On the outside, the club looked pretty seedy, and it was hard to tell whether the small number of cars in the parking lot was a good sign or a bad one. For at least a few of the cars already there - including a limousine with tinted windows and a very sad-looking sports car that still had half of a JUST MARRIED sign affixed to its rear bumper -- it was probably good, but for any Fandom students looking for a positive strip club experience, it was a little harder to tell.

At the door, there was a bouncer checking IDs (or fake IDs, as the case almost universally was with this crowd), and inside... well, inside was a strip club. There was a stage, there were dancers (of multiple genders, even!), there was a breakfast buffet that looked like it served bacon, and there was a bar. And there was glitter. Lots and lots of glitter.

The night was young, the bouncer was easily fooled, and The Silver Glitter Club was open. Enjoy, Fandomites. Or at least try not to pick up any diseases.

Anya was speechless, and slightly terrified.

"Mi papá me va a matar si se entera de esto."

Mercy didn't know what Anya had said, but she looked the way Mercy felt. "If that's Spanish for what the heck have we gotten ourselves into, I agree."

"Something like that," Anya said with a shrug. "And we got into a strip club, apparently. But eh, it could've fooled me."

"I don't even know quite how I got talked into coming along on this trip," Mercy admitted. "Just suddenly, well, there we all were and here we are."

"I guess everyone has some sort of communication issue or something," Anya said, still a bit shocked.

Mercy winced and looked the other way as one of the ladies, women, strippers did something particularly not work safe. "Oh... I really didn't need to see that."

"This is a little too...um, hands on for my taste," Anya decided as she tried to look somewhere else.

"And the food they serve looks pretty terrible, too. This place sucks."

Oh Anya.

"How long do you think we have to stay?" Mercy asked. "We must be able to call a cab or something."

"I suppose we could call a cab, but my roommate is here too, and I don't want to leave her."

And Alex wasn't really going anywhere, Anya thought, so she was stuck. Great.

"Yeah, I can understand that," Mercy said. "Maybe a few drinks would make it better?"

"You think? I don't really drink...like ever," said Anya, fearing to be That Uncool Kid.

"I really only did the other night at the party," Mercy admitted, "But I can only wonder if it would help in this case."

"I'm not sure I can trust the drinks in this place...but what the hell, we're already here, right?"

Anya was feeling reckless. This was a bad thing.

"The drinks are definitely safer than the food. Alcohol will kill most germs," Mercy pointed out as she headed toward the bar.

"Now that's optimistic," Anya muttered as she followed. She was fifteen, a bit too much decent and slightly scared, but she wasn't going to show that. Let the cool older girl see her acting cooler than she was.

"Okay, let's do this."

Under normal circumstances Mercy wouldn't even have been drinking herself, much less encouraging a 15 year old to drink. But these weren't normal circumstances, so she headed to the bar and, after a brief discussion with the bartender, made her decision. "I'm going to have a Long Island iced Tea, please."

"Whatever she's having," Anya said, serious. Hopefully Mercy knew her drinks, right?

Poor Anya. Mercy didn't have a clue. But this tasted yummy and didn't seem to have much alcohol in it, so maybe they'd both be lucky.

Or, you know, not.
