A Strip Club On The Mainland | Wednesday Early Evening

On the outside, the club looked pretty seedy, and it was hard to tell whether the small number of cars in the parking lot was a good sign or a bad one. For at least a few of the cars already there - including a limousine with tinted windows and a very sad-looking sports car that still had half of a JUST MARRIED sign affixed to its rear bumper -- it was probably good, but for any Fandom students looking for a positive strip club experience, it was a little harder to tell.

At the door, there was a bouncer checking IDs (or fake IDs, as the case almost universally was with this crowd), and inside... well, inside was a strip club. There was a stage, there were dancers (of multiple genders, even!), there was a breakfast buffet that looked like it served bacon, and there was a bar. And there was glitter. Lots and lots of glitter.

The night was young, the bouncer was easily fooled, and The Silver Glitter Club was open. Enjoy, Fandomites. Or at least try not to pick up any diseases.

Gert watched the dancing for two seconds and immediately got offended on behalf of women everywhere (in her opinion).

Fortunately, she had expected this, so she had a book with her. So Gert was going to sit here with a plate of French toast sticks and reread The Great Gatsby. Yep.

"I have a plate at a strip club," Gert corrected him, turning her book over to hold her place and putting it down. "I'm still deciding whether or not it's edible."

It probably wasn't.

"You're the expert on this place, right? Any pro tips?"

"Don't eat the food," Cade said. "They oversalt it to make you buy more drinks, which they overcharge you for and also water down. Oh, and don't make too much obvious eye contact with that guy--he's dating the bouncer."

"How can you even read with all of the noise and the grinding all over?" Jessica asked. She wasn't judging. She was impressed.

"The grinding's easy to avoid since I think they can tell I'm not interested," Gert reported, putting her book down. She was actually quite pleased to be asked this question. "And the noise, eh. I've managed to sleep in louder places."

She meant The Hostel, back when Chase and Alex had had screaming matches over their video games. Good times. Except also terrible times.

"The main issue is I keep getting distracted by random bits of glitter in my eye."

Bay watched the dancers for long enough to feel sorry for them, then went to claim a banana from the breakfast buffet. The fruit's shape was unfortunate, but she figured there was absolutely no way anybody could mess up a banana inside its peel.

She sat a few tables back from the stage, breaking off chunks of banana to eat and occasionally getting offended on behalf of all womankind. And mankind. And humankind in general.

Really, strip clubs said nothing good about anybody.

"Do you remember whose idea this was?" Gert asked from a nearby table, tilting her chair back as she addressed Bay. "'Cause I kind of want to smack them. This is gross."

"I have no idea, all I heard was that we were going to a club," Bay said. "I'd join you on the punching. This place is scuzzy, some old guy tried to shake his junk at my face, and there was glitter in my banana somehow."

Atton sank into a seat near one of the prettiest-looking strippers (in his estimation, anyway) with a glass of whiskey in one hand.

"Not bad," he decided.

Emily couldn't help but to think about Amanda for a moment...and feel ridiculously grossed out.

"At least they are...enthusiastic," Emily conceded while she tried to decide whether getting drunk out of her mind was a viable way to forget about the glitter or not.

"I LIKE YOUR SHOES!" Kenzi yelled to one girl over the music, then looked back at Emily. "Well, some of them have moves. That guy there--" Wow, who knew a person could bend that way?

Was it wrong that Maddie was watching the female dancers and stuck wondering why her own boobs didn't look anything close to that? It was probably wrong.
